BIKE LANES (or lack of): THE PEDESTRIAN EXPERIENCE
Albert Koehl, Dylan Reid, Lee Scott
Bike lanes are all the talk these days as Doug Ford's Conservatives threaten to remove dedicated cycle tracks from Bloor, University, and Yonge -- initiatives that the City painstakingly undertook to advance its Complete Streets, Vision Zero, TransformTO Net Zero, and Cycling Network plans and policies. It seems cyclists are fighting this battle largely alone but pedestrians have a big stake in the issue. Join us in a conversation around the shared experience of pedestrians and cyclists with Walk Toronto founder Dylan Reid, cycling advocate Albert Koehl, author of Wheeling Through Toronto: a History of the Bicycle and its Riders, and Lee Scott of the Walk Toronto Steering Committee and Cycle Toronto Advocacy Committee.
